Dame Maggie Smith is set to receive one of Britain’s highest honours, it’s been revealed. The 79 year-old-actress will be made a Companion of Honour by Queen Elizabeth II, which is said to be the Queen’s gem on her Birthday’s Honour list. The award recognizes Maggie’s acting career, which spans 6 decades and includes her notable roles as Professor McGonagall in Harry Potter and Violet Crawley in Downton Abbey.

The awards were established in 1917 by King George to recognize outstanding achievements in the arts, science, and politics, and other recipients include Dame Judi Dench, Professor Stephen Hawking, and Sir Ian McKellen.
